Becherhaus: Open once again in 2010

South Tyrol's highest mountain refuge, the so-called "castle in the clouds" perched on the Becher summit at 10,482 feet elevation, is due to re-open for the 2010 summer season from 1st July, to the delight of mountaineers. Erich Pichler, who managed the Becherhaus eight summers long, has once again been secured as host. Erich is always glad to advise and support climbers and his "hut fare" is legendary.
